LOS ANGELES (KP International) - Hollywood just lost a friend.
Character actor Bruno Kirby died in Los Angeles from leukemia-related complications August 14.
The 57-year-old actor who is perhaps most famous for his role as Billy Crystal's best friend in When Harry Met Sally... and City Slickers, had only recently been diagnosed with the disease.
"We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support we have received from Bruno's fans and colleagues who have admired and respected his work over the past 30 years," said the actor's wife, Lynn Sellers, in a statement. "Bruno's spirit will continue to live on not only in his rich body of film and television work but also through the lives of individuals he has touched throughout his life."
Bruno Giovanni Quidaciolu Jr was born in New York in 1949 and later won roles in The Godfather: Part II, Good Morning, Vietnam and Donnie Brasco. Most recently he appeared as a producer pining for his lost Shrek doll on HBO's Entourage.
